Mission Statement
To follow Christ and lead others to him.
Mission Prayer
"Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen."
Sunday To Monday - What’s It All About?
By Sid Oakley
While attending Rally Day proceedings it became quite obvious that I was being out worked by all the other Sunday school mentors. I had little, make that zero, prepared materials to offer so I thought I would tell you a little about our class for the upcoming church year.
We will begin with Kathy mentoring us in an analysis of where we are on our spiritual walk. This can be as shared or as private an assessment as you like. We will attempt to relate our own place along the way with where we see the Church in general. The amount of time spent on this will be dependant on your response and involvement.
Other topics that we will look at are: Is There Really Anyone There, Science and Religion Is There a Common Ground, God’s Big Bang Universe Machine, Is God as Real to You as the North Pole. This last topic has been unabashedly stolen from Charles Fulghum. These are topics we are preparing to discuss thus far, but they are subject to veto by Kathy Evenson who as most of you know is the star of the show anyway.
As always, this is your class. You can introduce any appropriate topic at any time. It is the participation of the class that has made our group a challenging and rewarding experience.
Beginning Sunday September 13 immediately following the 9 a.m. service, come to the Bride’s Room and help us find the Spirit.
