Mission Statement
To follow Christ and lead others to him.
Mission Prayer
"Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen."
The Tuesday Morning Emergency Assistance Program is now available at the Suthers Center for Christian Outreach, located at 3550 Broad Street Suite F, Chamblee, Georgia 30341. If you are seeking assistance, please bring your ID and the bill with which you need assistance. Please be advised that help is only available to residents of ZIP codes 30319 and 30341. If you live in another ZIP code we can provide you with information on other organizations in your area. Please call the Suthers Center at 770-455-3358 or visit the Suthers Center website for more information.
Our Purpose
We help needy people in our area--zip codes 30319 and 30341--with funds for utilities, rent, transportation (usually MARTA cards), medications, groceries, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Our funds come from donations--primarily from the Outreach Budget, but also donations from chapters and from individuals in the church. Sometimes these are in honor or in memory of a friend or relative.
Because Emergency Assistance is no longer located at the Church, St. Monica's Chapter still provides snack bags to the needy, and those in need of Emergency Assistance are then directed to visit the Suthers Center.
