Mission Statement
To follow Christ and lead others to him.
Mission Prayer
"Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen."
Welcome to Foyer
The Foyer group is a rotational dinner party group and was formed because we believe that participation in small groups, welcoming people into your homes, is the single best way to form personal bonds with fellow Christians. It worked for the disciples, didn’t it?
We are a purely social group that gets together to share food, fun, and fellowship. Here’s how it works. Dinner groups are formed with 8 to 12 people, singles, couples, young people, retirees, people with school-aged children, empty nesters, etc. In other words, a cross-section of the parish. Each dinner group rotates having a meal at each group member’s home. The first dinner is at the host’s home. The host provides the main course (meat and side/starch). The other group members each bring an appetizer, a salad, a dessert, or beer/wine. Don’t forget the beer and wine, we are Episcopalians after all. The Foyer season typically ranges from November through May.
We kicked off the season last year with, what else? A party!! We had a rockin’ good time with excellent edibles. Four dinner groups formed with 19 singles and couples participating. Rick and I are thankful for all of the friendships made and delicious food shared. Everyone’s life is busy with work, kids, parents, volunteer work, and fill-in-the-blank. Think about taking some time out of the hustle and bustle…think about making some time for yourself…think Foyer.
