Mission Statement
To follow Christ and lead others to him.
Mission Prayer
"Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen."

Started in 2008 by Edith Woodling, Chaplain of St. Martin’s School, the Prayer Shawl Ministry includes anyone who likes to knit or crochet or would like to learn. We meet every Monday in the church parlor from about 3:45 to 5 in the afternoon.
Prayer shawls are given to anyone who needs them, parishioners or not, Episcopalians or not. They are fashioned with prayers and love and are intended to convey those feelings and actions to the recipients. They may be kept as long as they are needed and then, if desired, passed on or returned to be used in turn by others. Materials are donated by the members of the ministry and by others who wish to help in this endeavor. There are no dues or officers and suggestions are gladly received and acted on for other worthwhile projects such as infant caps for hospital nurseries.
Anyone who knows of a need for a shawl may have one for the asking or the clergy are glad to deliver them. Call the church office for more information or to receive – or give – a shawl.
