The Longest Night Service, December 21, 6pm
December 21 is the day when the daylight is shortest and the night is longest. This season of the year can be difficult for those who have experienced loss of various kinds. While some are celebrating, others find the darkness hard to bear. The birth of Christ does not end the night but gives us hope for the light that will overcome it. Gathering on the longest night of the year reminds us that we are not alone through both the joy and the sorrow of this season. Join us for this special service, acknowledging that God’s presence is with those who mourn, and that God’s word comes to shine light into our darkness. The service will be followed by a time for gathering and refreshments.
