Music at St. Martin’s

We are blessed at St. Martin’s to have many people passionate about music, united to create and support inspiring music. People of all abilities and ages are welcome to participate in our musical groups or help the ministry behind the scenes.

The Chorister’s Prayer

Bless, O Lord, us thy servants,
who minister in thy temple.
Grant that what we sing with our lips,
we may believe in our hearts,
and what we believe in our hearts,
we may show forth in our lives.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ADULT CHOIR

The Adult Choir is the foundation of our music program and open to adults and high-school youth. This group learns a variety of choral literature and is dedicated to excellent leadership of our worship at St. Martin’s. In addition to singing for regular Sunday 11:00 a.m. services and our 10:00 a.m. ONE St. Martin’s services, our Adult Choir participates in special liturgies and programs throughout the year. Membership is open to all with previous musical experience who can commit to regular rehearsals and services.

Weekly rehearsals are Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Thursday rehearsals do not occur during the summer months.

For more information, contact Will Gotmer, Music Minister.

The handbell choir

The Handbell Choir welcomes parishioners from eighth grade through any adult age. Rehearsals are each Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday rehearsals do not occur during the summer months. The choir rings at the 11:00 a.m. service once a month and for special occasions. Maryann Lozano directs the Handbell Choir.

Children’s Choir

St. Martin's has a long history with a graded chorister program. In addition to a professional music education, through rehearsals and worship services, choristers gain valuable spiritual development and learn about their faith through liturgy and music. If your child has interest in participating in children's choirs in the future at St. Martin's, please contact Will Gotmer, Music Minister.
